Consultancy Project Manager – Multiple Locations

There’s a lot happening in New Zealand’s infrastructure sector right now. Significant investment is flowing into three waters, transport, and civic infrastructure across the North Island, and the project management consultancies we work with are busy. If you’re an experienced PM with previous consultancy experience or you have worked in similar environments, I’d love to hear from you.

The Roles
We’re assisting several established PM consultancies with active requirements for Intermediate to Senior Project Managers across the North Island. Current locations include Wellington, Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, and New Plymouth, with the possibility of further opportunities elsewhere as well. These aren’t speculative opportunities, there’s genuine demand and urgent positions to fill.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Owning projects end-to-end on behalf of client organisations
  • Managing consultants, contractors, and stakeholders across the full project lifecycle
  • Driving programme, budget, risk, and quality
  • Presenting at a high level and keeping clients engaged and well-informed
  • Supporting procurement and contract management

What We’re Looking For

  • A background working for an engineering or PM consultancy ideally, but other suitable experience can be considered
  • Solid delivery experience in infrastructure, three waters, or construction more broadly
  • Client-facing and confident managing multiple workstreams
  • Intermediate to Senior level. i.e you can pick up a project and run with it
  • NZ construction experience preferred

Three waters and water infrastructure experience is particularly sought after right now, but if you’ve delivered across other construction sectors in a consultancy environment, we want to hear from you too.
