To help with this, Whittaker’s are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team. 

The job.
You will be responsible for delivering maintenance and engineering services that support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of manufacturing assets. This includes maintaining asset reliability through preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis, technical problem solving and continuous improvement.
  
Working closely with Manufacturing and other support functions, the role provides specialist electrical expertise to maximise asset availability, minimise operational risk and support continuous improvement of plant performance.
  
Specifically, you will:

  • Undertake electrical preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults and breakdowns
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation in CMMS
  • Support shutdowns, changeovers and operational teams on the line
  • Contribute to engineering input into projects, upgrades, installations and commissioning
  • Investigate recurring failures and driving root cause fixes

The person.
To join us in this role, you will have:

  • An electrical trade qualification with Full Electrical EWRB registration
  • Proven experience working on FMCG/packaging machinery maintenance
  • Strong fault finding and diagnostic capability
  • Experience with PLC and industrial automation would be advantageous
