Our client is a well-known and respected electrical contractor servicing the lower South Island. With many diverse and interesting projects under their belt, and with plenty of work and continual growth, they have a need for an Estimator to join their busy estimating team, based in Dunedin.

You could be a registered electrician or quantity surveyor seeking to transition into estimating!

The Role
You will be responsible for preparing estimates for commercial and industrial projects.

Specifically, you will:

  • Review project specifications, plans, and requirements for material and labour costs
  • Prepare competitive quotes and tender packages
  • Undertake site visits and develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Source and evaluate quotes from trades partners, sub-contractors, and suppliers

About You
To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Hands on electrical experience or be a quantity surveyor seeking to transition into estimating
  • Proven experience in electrical estimating with a strong understanding of electrical systems and components
  • Strong process orientation with excellent attention to details ensuring accurate cost estimates and documentation

Personally, you will be a proven self-starter and a people person with excellent communication and relationship skills.
