Working at the front end of design build projects and being mentored by a successful manager you will develop cost plans and estimates from limited information, supporting the preparation of feasibility reports, and work closely with the design and client team to manage risk and identify options for value engineering. Their success is underpinned by their relationships and you will help foster effective relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors

At times you will support early procurement and then transition the work to the Project Quantity Surveyor.

Projects will typically be in the $10m to $50m range, with a mix of large structural new build and complex building services / MEP  

This role suits someone with a few years Quantity Surveying or Estimating experience who is looking to develop their experience within Design Build work and take on more responsibility, key requirements include: 

  • Estimating or Quantity Surveying on commercial / Industrial projects
  • New Zealand experience (preffered)
  • Related construction / engineering qualifications 
  • Highly organised and self-motivated
  • Proven team player with excellent communication skills
  • Good problem solving skills 
  • Keen interest in developing a career in Estimating
