The Role – As the Afternoon Shift Factory Team Lead, you’ll work closely with the Factory Shift Manager to drive daily production activities. Your role involves ensuring smooth and efficient operations, leading and managing team members, ensuring adherence to health & safety and GMP / food safety regulations, coordinating production tasks & resources, assisting with the development of staff, and prompt problem solving when issues arise.

This role will be working on the afternoon shift from 4pm through till 2am, Tuesday to Friday.

You, the Candidate – Whittaker’s are looking for an experienced leader that brings positivity, a can-do attitude, and excellent initiative to their capable afternoon shift factory / production team.
To be successful in this role, you will also bring the following skills and attributes:

  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a leadership role within a GMP manufacturing environment / FMCG
  • Experience with managing shift teams; scheduling, delegation, performance evaluation
  • Proven experience troubleshooting and problem-solving on busy manufacturing lines
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to take initiative and problem solve
  • Proven ability to handle conflicts with sensitivity and effective solutions
  • Strong working knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
