Industrial Electrician
Join a world-leading manufacturing operation based in Gisborne! We are looking for an Industrial Electrician to be part of a highly automated, cutting-edge facility producing engineered timber products. This is an advanced manufacturing environment with state-of-the-art automation, robotics, and control systems.

This is a 12hr rotating shift pattern of 4 on / 4 off (2 days, 2 nights).
The Role
You will play a key role in operating, maintaining, and continuously improving an advanced production process.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Operate and maintain a fully automated production line.
- Troubleshoot and repair machine centres, minimising downtime.
- Conduct quality control checks and ensure compliance with production standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and engage in preventative maintenance to optimise plant performance.
- Work collaboratively in a high-performance, skilled workforce – no general machine operators here!
- Diagnose and repair faults in PLC-controlled systems and automated production lines.
- Be flexible to attend callouts outside normal shift hours when required.
Ideal Experience
- Trade qualified as an Electrician or Millwright / Multiskilled Technician.
- Experience in industrial maintenance, automation, or advanced continuous manufacturing.
- Experienced with PLC driven machinery preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with an interest in process improvement.
