Junior Quantity Surveyor

I have an opportunity to join an established small-to-medium tier commercial construction company based in Wellington. With a strong focus on delivering high-quality projects and fostering a collaborative team environment, they’ve built a reputation for excellence and reliability in the industry.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Quantity Surveyor to join a close knit team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting senior Quantity Surveyors with day-to-day tasks
  • Basic pricing and cost analysis
  • Following up on rates and prices with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Chasing and managing communications with subcontractors
  • Looking after labor-only contractors
  • General administrative duties as required

About You:

  • Ideally, you will have completed a basic one-year course or full degree in quantity surveying or a related field.
  • 0-12 months of practical experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
