KEEP PRODUCTION HUMMING
The existing maintenance team have 4 production lines to keep running – preventative maintenance is the strategy that works and each shift will start by determining which scheduled maintenance tasks are prioritized, planned and carried to a high standard. You’ll encounter pneumatics, conveyors, food processing/packaging machines, refrigerant systems, and all other typical equipment found in a modern FMCG site. If/when a breakdown occurs, you’ll be ready to put your diagnostics/troubleshooting skills to the test. All activity is recorded in the CMMS (MEX)
 
On top of typical maintenance tasks, you’ll also play a key role in continuous improvement by modifying existing machinery and integrating new equipment.
 
This role is on a 4-week rotation: 3 weeks day (05:30–15:00) and 1-week afternoon shift (14:45-midnight) + every 2nd Saturday (06:00-13:00)

GOT THE RIGHT SKILLS?
We need a team player with a proven background in food production and processing. Sound like you?:

  • NZ Trade Cert in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting, Maintenance & Diagnostics
  • Strong faultfinding ability
  • Basic welding (Stainless/TIG ideal)
  • Mechanical Fitting/Turning
  • Clean/Tidy work habits
  • EST or Electrical qualifications are a bonus!
  • Must have current and unrestricted NZ working rights
