Mechanical Maintenance Manager

Maintenance Manager needed for a large, automated manufacturing plant in Tauranga. This is a superb opportunity to work in a big facility, with good budgets and the chance to make an impact with this market leading building materials manufacturer

The Role:
As the Maintenance Manager you will lead a mechanical maintenance team, implement best maintenance processes and work towards optimal output and reliability for plant machinery

This includes:

  • Team Management – 6 Fitters, Services Manager and Maintenance Planner
  • Implementing Lean principles and maintenance excellence
  • CMMS Development (MEX) – along with Maintenance Planner
  • Planning and leading maintenance shuts (Typically in January)
  • Budget management
  • Improving new machinery – there is a lot of new machines, which need to be optimised for both maintenance and production
  • Machinery is large and varied – This is a complex production line, so your mechanical skills will be well valued

About you:

  • We’re looking for an experienced leader in maintenance
  • Manufacturing experience, either heavy industry or FMCG – anything fast moving
  • Mechanical – Trade/Fitter or degree qualified is of interest
  • Condition monitoring experience very helpful
  • MEX experience ideal, but other CMMS is also useful
