Production Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead a high-performing manufacturing operation in Auckland. This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who thrives on developing people, driving operational discipline, and leading leaders in a fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing environment. You will play a critical role in shaping the culture and effectiveness of the production team by coaching and developing frontline leaders to operate at a higher level.
Although this role is officially titled Line Leader, it is essentially a Production Manager, you will lead a team of Shift Leads, supported by Process and Technical Leads, with an indirect leadership responsibility for approximately 60 production staff.
Your focus will be on strengthening leadership capability across the operation, driving accountability, improving performance, and ensuring operational excellence through people.
About You, the Candidate
We are looking for a proven manufacturing leader who can influence and coach other leaders.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Strong leadership experience essential, ideally within a food production environment.
- Demonstrated success managing leaders and driving team performance.
- Experience managing large operational teams, ideally with indirect leadership responsibility for 50+ staff.
- An improvement focused mindset.
- A background in engineering, process management, or production.
- Experience with IWS (Integrated Work Systems) methodology would be highly advantageous.
