Production Technician

About the Company: Our client is a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer that plays a pivotal role in producing high quality products for the global animal health market.
About the Role: As an experienced production technician, you will be performing day-to-day activities related to the production of animal health products.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Preparation, decontamination, and operation of production equipment
- Following production procedures to ensure compliant manufacture of products and achieving production targets
- Preparing and dispensing media and solutions, handling liquid and air filters and maintaining cell and virus seed stocks
- Performing tissue culture, viral antigen production and viral inactivation and concentration
- Formulating, dispensing, labelling and packing product
- Conducting environmental monitoring
- Participating in GMP and EHS audits
- Completing accurate documentation and database entries
- Supporting equipment maintenance and preparing products for transport
- Adhering to GMP standards, biosecurity requirements and site quality management systems
You, the Candidate: Our client is seeking an experienced production technician from the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry that brings excellent knowledge of GMP and Health & Safety in a highly regulated environment. You must have at least 2 years’ experience in a production role within pharma manufacturing. The ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and attributes:
- A science related degree and/or related work experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a pharmaceuticals production environment
- Strong organisational and documentation skills
- Comfortability working in a climate-controlled environment with restricted clean areas
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time and lifting / manual handling as required
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment
