Wellington Based – Heavy Industrial Projects – Mechanical

If you want the autonomy to run and manage your own projects throughout NZ, but be based in Wellington, then this role is definitely worth considering.

Deliver heavy engineering projects (structural steel and piping) within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sector, throughout New Zealand. The role encompasses scoping the design and seeing the projects right through to completion.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • A trade or tertiary engineering qualification (Mechanical preferred)
  • Proven experience leading and managing heavy industry projects (oil & gas experience preferred) at an intermediate to senior level
  • Project experience to include all aspects from scoping to project completion
  • Experience working with and overseeing contractors

Personally, you will have a great attitude, have an outgoing personality, and be a natural self-starter who builds and nurtures strong working relationships.

This role is based in Wellington and does cover a few project sites across New Zealand, so some travel for the role, mainly day trips, is required.
