Project Manager (Apartment Project)

Large high rise apartment project starting in September, join one of the most respected contractors in New Zealand with strong forward work excellent client relationship and a professional, experienced team.

This high profile project has been on the design table for a while and now ready to move to site and start construction in the coming months, the building will offer retail on ground level with an 18 story structure for medium density apartments finished to a high standard for a local developer  who is committed to excellence and delivering projects offering long term benefits to residents and the wider community.

The Job

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to take on the planning and project delivery of this project for a key client. You will have a strong focus on managing stakeholder relationships, risk management, project reporting, and visible leadership and be supported by an experienced management team with long term and trusted supply chain and subcontractors.  

You will support the development of a robust project program, identify areas for value engineering and foster a motivated and team focused culture. You will remain close to the site team to lead a safe, timely and quality project and work collaboratively with subcontractors and suppliers to resolve problems and provide surety on a quality project.

Experience

  • Project Management delivering multistory apartment/accommodation projects
  • Extensive New Zealand construction experience
  • Good relationships in the local market advantageous 
  • Good New Zealand contracts knowledge 
  • Sound planning & programming skills (MS project)
  • Excellent communication and relationship ability
  • Proven commitment to Health & Safety 
  • Trade or tertiary qualifications
