Quantity Surveyor (Commercial Construction)

Join a reputable construction business with secure forward work across a diverse range of projects in the $1m to $15m range from high end residential and apartments through to industrial, commercial, and public projects. They also have a busy ‘small works’ and maintenance business if you prefer to work across multiple fast paced small jobs. 

This job suits a Quantity Surveyor who is looking to develop a long term career within a positive and social team environment. Working from estimating and tendering through to procurement, to contract administration and final account you will ensure projects are commercially successful for everyone involved. 

This isn’t an administrative QS position but suits someone who is commercially astute and enjoys working with clients, the site teams and subbies to deliver quality projects within budget with clear opportunities for someone to progress in this business into a more senior role.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Over 3 years working as a Quantity Surveying on construction projects
  • Experience and knowledge of New Zealand Contracts preferred
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Relevant QS qualification preferred
  • Relaxed approach and excellent interpersonal skills

Ideally you will be bring commercial main contractor experience however we are open to applicants from subcontractors who are keen to move into a main contractor environment.
