Invercargill – Reliability Engineer / Asset Management – Systems control

Our Invercargill-based client is one of the largest operators in the Southland region. The company currently employs roughly 700 staff and during over 50 years of operation nearly 300 of them have worked there for over 20 years. On top of that, over 150 have reached the 30-year milestone, so clearly, they are doing something right.

With plenty of work underway there is a need for a Reliability Engineer or Asset Manager to lead the direction on reliability engineering and asset management, including systems control and associated documentation, and to provide asset management technical advice.

In particular, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate the review of Asset Management Plans
  • Lead and coordinate maintenance programme reviews
  • Utilise data to champion plant optimisation decisions
  • Work with the maintenance team to provide asset management technical advice
  • Identify opportunities to improve asset management systems and develop and implement these decisions

The person.
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification (engineering or equivalent)
  • Proven asset management experience, at least at an intermediate level, working with reliability systems (asset management plans, defect elimination processes, asset criticality, maintenance tactics etc.)
  • Clear and succinct writing skills with proven experience working with systems and data

You will be a self-starter driven by a passion for improvement, an analytical problem solver with attention to detail, and will have the proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
