The Opportunity: Whittaker’s team of Roasters are on the hunt for a quality focused individual to join them in operating NZ’s only complete ‘Beans to Bar’ process. There is one afternoon shift available. This role is responsible for ensuring Whittaker’s cocoa beans are roasted to perfection every time!

Tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Starting and running roasters according to schedule
  • Monitoring and maintaining silo levels
  • Ensuring equipment is clean and well-prepared
  • Performing general maintenance on roasting equipment
  • Monitoring critical control points
  • Adhering to H&S, food safety, and quality standards
  • Ensuring high quality and consistency of products

Shift Hours: The afternoon shift runs from Monday to Thursday, 4.00pm – 2.00am.

You, the Candidate: With at least 2 years’ experience working in manufacturing / FMCG on a busy production line, the ideal candidate will possess knowledge of GMP standards, troubleshooting equipment and machinery, problem solving, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and H&S. There is a strong preference for candidates with knowledge of food safety regulations, and a forklift license is also desirable, but not essential.
