The Opportunity: Whittaker’s team of Roasters are on the hunt for two quality focussed individuals to join them in operating NZ’s only complete ‘Beans to Bar’ process. There are two positions available, one covering the afternoon shift and the other on the dayshift. These roles are responsible for ensuring Whittaker’s cocoa beans are roasted to perfection every time!

Tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Starting and running roasters according to schedule
  • Monitoring and maintaining silo levels
  • Ensuring equipment is clean and well-prepared
  • Performing general maintenance on roasting equipment
  • Monitoring critical control points
  • Adhering to H&S, food safety, and quality standards
  • Ensuring high quality and consistency of products

Shift Hours: The dayshift role runs from Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 4.30pm (likely closer to 6.00am starts)
The Afternoon Shift runs from Monday to Thursday, 4.00pm – 2.00am.

You, the Candidate: With a background in manufacturing / FMCG, the ideal candidate will possess knowledge of GMP standards, troubleshooting equipment, problem solving, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and H&S. There is a strong preference for candidates with knowledge of food safety regulations, and a forklift license is also desirable, but not essential.
