Senior Cost Planner / Estimator (Civil Infrastructure)

Technically focused Senior Estimating ./ Quantity Surveying role for a large cost consulting business.

This role suits someone who thrives on the cost planning of large complex projects and using creativity and technical skills to develop robust cost plans for projects from limited information. Working closely with clients and specialist consultants you will support initial feasibility and business case modelling and then develop detailed estimates across projects in the 3 Waters, Rail, and Roading sectors and on to supporting the procurement process. 
 
Reporting to an experienced and respected Director this is an ideal opportunity to gain experience on large projects nationally and working as part of an experience and supportive team.

Experience
 
We are looking for several years Estimating / Cost Planning experience on large infrastructure projects

You will have strong experience in preparing estimates from first principles
 
You will also be effective in identifying risks and providing value engineering advice. 
 
This role is analytical in nature but forms a key part of a sociable team and suit someone who enjoys team work and communicating with a range of stakeholders.

Understanding of New Zealand contracts and construction methods is highly desirable.
