Senior appointment into a successful Christchurch construction business.

This role joins the regional leadership team to focus on identifying and securing profitable construction work across both negotiated and tendered commercial projects. There is potential for this role to grow in responsibility and you will be supported by the experienced senior management team with excellent professional development and training resources.

The Job
Working from the early project feasibility stage with key clients you will develop robust cost plans, lead value engineering exercises and work with the wider team to develop innovative, quality and cost effective construction solutions.

You will also lead the estimating for open market tenders, assist in managing risk, and support the leadership team with identifying new business opportunities.

Naturally a key focus will be building collaborative and trusted relationships with local and regional clients, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

About you 
We are looking for the following:

  • Extensive Estimating & Quantity Surveying experience from the New Zealand Market
  • Expertise and connections within the local construction sector
  • Sound knowledge of local construction methods 
  • Proven ability to foster positive relationships
  • High integrity and desire to continually deliver quality work
  • Related qualifications preffered
