About the Company: Our client is a multinational manufacturer of pharmaceutical products. A mainstay of the Animal Health industry for over 70 years in New Zealand, their Wellington site is currently going through a major expansion project to significantly increase the capacity of their facility in order to continue supplying sterile bacterial vaccines for the global market.
The Opportunity: Joining a talented site maintenance team, our client is in need of a Senior Instrumentation Engineer to ensure that critical manufacturing equipment and utilities are maintained to the highest of standards. The role will cover routine maintenance, resolving equipment failures, contributing to capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives, all whilst ensuring compliance with quality and legislative standards and keeping accurate records / documentation of any services and repairs.
You, the Candidate: With a qualified engineering or trades background, the ideal candidate for this role will bring experience in pharmaceuticals or production environments, possessing good knowledge of GMP/GLP or ISO9000 requirements. You will be an excellent problem-solver with a strong ability to analyse data and trends, negotiate with and influence wider teams, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of a business.
You will also possess the following skills and experience:
- Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting on pneumatics & hydraulics, refrigeration & HVAC, and utilities e.g., water, steam, gas, compressed air
- Practical instrumentation and calibration experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft tools such as excel, word and outlook
- Knowledge of problem-solving methods such as HOP & Fishbone Analysis
- Experience with PLCs
- Good writing and documentation skills for accurate recordkeeping
