Our client, an NZ company, is an established manufacturer of medical devices for chronic wound care and hernia repair. From humble beginnings, they have become competitive contributors to the growing global wound care market and are developing additional products to complement their current range.
About the Role:
This role, available due to internal promotion and ongoing growth, is a great career opportunity for an experienced Process Development Engineer who can come in and hit the ground running.
The Senior Process Development Engineering role reports to the Product Development Manager and bridges the gap between new device design and manufacturing. The role focuses on developing new equipment or processes to meet design specifications, interacting with product development and other departments to ensure smooth product transition into manufacturing.
About You, the Candidate:
This is a key position in the development of our client’s operation and so as a suitable candidate you will have significant experience in process development within a medical device (or possibly pharmaceutical) manufacturing environment. Moreover, you’ll have a practical engineering and process flow understanding. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, time management and a keen eye for detail.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, experience, and characteristics:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role in pharmaceuticals or medical devices.
- Experienced with development, commissioning and validation of processing equipment.
- Understanding of the entire product lifecycle and workflow.
- Understanding of 3D modelling software such as SOLIDWORKS Rhino 3D, CREO, other similar CAD software is advantageous.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
