Our client designs, manufactures and commissions technical equipment for the water treatment industry for major manufacturing industries and public works, with full capabilities across waste and fresh water processing.

With growth and expansion, and future succession planning, comes the need for additional people and we are looking for a Service Technician to join the Wellington based team.

You will be responsible for installing, commissioning and routine servicing, maintenance and monitoring of existing Water Treatment units across the Lower North Island and Upper South Island region. The role will require travel to sites and the occasional overnight stay within the region. You will become more autonomous as your skills/knowledge develop – you must be comfortable working safely unsupervised.

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Be trade qualified (preferably) in Electrical/Mechanical/Plumbing with natural hands-on ability
  • Have previous experience servicing/installing in Water industry (preferred), but open to those with practical skills gained in other industries
  • Have experience diagnosing and fault finding

Personally, you will have excellent communication skills, be a proven team player and just as comfortable working autonomously. You will be a self-starter, committed and motivated to completing work in an accurate and timely manner.

This position will be predominantly field based, so this will be client facing and will involve travel between customers and the workshop throughout the region providing a complete service to clients. As such a clean driver’s licence and full COVID vaccination is required.
