Shift Electrician
Join a highly successful, locally owned timber processing site in the heart of the Bay of Plenty. This is a hands-on Electrical role offering long-term stability and a genuinely supportive workplace culture. You’ll be part of a close-knit maintenance team that values collaboration, care for one another, and strong connections to the local community.
Working as a team
Monday to Thursday, is when the plant turning sustainably grown logs are treated, milled and prepped for clients around the world. Your duty is to stay on top of electrical gremlins that threaten to disrupt production by running diagnostics on VSDs, PLCs, Motors, Drives and a mix of HV/LV gear. You are comfortable being the sole electrician on-site during your shift and are always willing to lend a helping hand to other departments.
Shifts alternate between dayshift & nightshift (06:00~18:00), week to week, with optional overtime available.
Up to the challenge?
- Full EWRB Registration – Essential
- Experience in Industrial environments with HV/LV equipment
- Familiar with replacing/diagnosing VSDs and PLCs
- Ability to tackle breakdowns and fault-find under pressure
- Willing to help the mechanical team if required
- Flexible, proactive, and safety-conscious team player
