Are you an up and coming sales rep who wants to take their career places? This is not just a sales role, this role has a technical base – you will be involved in recommending the solution!

With over 40 years of successful and award-winning experience within the hydraulics industry, our client is involved in designing, manufacturing, and commissioning hydraulic solutions. Company expansion has led to an opportunity for a highly talented technical sales engineer to join this family orientated team, based in Christchurch.

Being the face of the company, as a Sales Engineer, you will cover the wider Canterbury region working on project-based sales within all areas of the of the hydraulic industry. This will involve contract management and tender preparation, technical sales support, and planning and delivery of a targeted sales schedule. This is a varied role and has a technical base – you will be involved in recommending the solution.

Preferably the ideal candidate will have come up from the shop floor and had a number of years’ experience plying their trade before progressing into a sales position. Strong communications and a solution provider are a must.

Successful applicants should possess the following:

  • Previous proven technical sales experience is essential
  • Experience working in an industrial service industry or similar is preferred
  • Understanding of hydraulic systems would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities are a must
  • Strong communication skills are essential

The role includes a competitive salary and vehicle with discretionary bonus.
