Roy joined Technical Recruitment Solutions in 2002 following a highly successful Engineering Sales and Management career in the UK. Initially as a Consultant working in the Civil and Construction space, he went on to build strong relationships with the country’s leading multi-disciplined consultancies as well as helping smaller organisations gain a strong hold in the market.
About Roy
In 2007 after five years of strong recruiting performances and already having sales leadership experience it was no surprise when Roy was promoted to General Manager – taking charge of a then small team of 3 consultants.
Since then Roy has been instrumental in making the company the leading technical recruitment organisation in New Zealand. With expert teams working in five specialist industry sectors there is no recruitment organisation that offers such coverage. Technical Recruitment Solutions now employs close to 20 staff with teams made up of Team Leaders, Senior Consultants and Support Staff, offering the best possible recruitment service to their clients.
Since becoming General Manager, Roy has initiated many innovative ideas and processes that have helped Technical Recruitment Solutions consistently outperform each year’s performance. Roy’s management style and non-billing responsibilities have allowed him to keep up to date with the industry, technology, and allowed him the time to coach and mentor key sales and recruitment skills that have helped many a consultant to become market experts.
In his spare time, Roy is a keen sportsman. He still pulls on the football boots be it now master’s level and is a keen mountain biker, often spotted out on Wellington trails and further afield with his well known Oddity biking gang.
