Shift Engineer

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a passion for improving production efficiency and ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a desire to work in the fast-paced and dynamic environment of infant formula production?

This is a rotating shift role (Days and nights) – 2 days on, 2 days off, then 3 days on. You’ll also have every 2nd weekend off meaning you only work 7 shifts a fortnight BUT there is also the opportunity for overtime if you’re looking to earn extra.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Working with the production team to identify and resolve equipment issues quickly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
  • Participating in equipment installation, commissioning, and modification projects, ensuring that equipment is installed and commissioned to meet safety and quality standards.
  • Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory records.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Trade Certified Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance engineering role in a manufacturing environment ideally in Dairy/Food/Beverage
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations.
