Project Manager – Industrial Engineering

Our client is a US engineering business, who deliver innovative and technical solutions to a broad client base globally. With a new project starting in Kuala Lumpur we are recruiting an experienced site based project manager to oversee the construction and installation of a US$40m aerospace facility for a global engineering business. 

This is contract based role for around 18 months although if your willing to travel this company can offer you global career opportunities. Reporting to a US based Manager this is an autonomous job acting as their site representative to plan, oversee and manage the construction & installation of a complex industrial engineering facility. 

You will:

– Oversee site based construction & engineering work and ensure work is delivered on schedule and budget, with a critical focus on quality. 

– Lead site Project Meetings, build a strong team culture and manage design changes, change orders and claims

– Provide regular project reports, manage risk, and problem solve any design or construction issues.

– Oversee site Health & Safety 

To be considered we are seeking the following:

– Several years in Project Management / Project Engineering in Malaysia 
– Success managing complex Industrial projects (Aerospace, Power Generation, Industrial Processing)
– Excellent knowledge of the local engineering & construction sector 
– Experienced with local contracts and ISO quality standards
– Degree qualifications in Engineering or Project Management 
– Excellent communication in Malay & English
