Operations Manager

|Civil & Construction - Project Management|Christchurch

We’re looking for someone to take charge of day-to-day operations and keep things running smoothly for a busy scaffolding business in Christchurch. You’ll be organising a crew of around 36 people across a range of large commercial projects, making sure jobs are planned well, crews are supported, and work is delivered safely and on time. There’s plenty of work ahead, so this is a stable role with a lot of variety.

About the Role
You’ll be the go-to person between the crews on site and the management team. Your job will be to plan schedules, allocate resources, and help solve any issues that come up. You’ll also spend time out on sites checking progress, keeping health and safety front of mind, and making sure customers are happy with how things are tracking.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Plan daily and weekly job schedules and allocate crews
  • Visit sites to check progress, safety, and quality
  • Organise equipment and deliveries as needed
  • Work closely with clients to confirm timings and resolve issues
  • Support, guide, and coach team members

What We’re Looking For
We’re after someone who is able to logistically organise multiple teams in a busy fast paced environment with previous scaffolding experience essential. You’ll need to be organised, a clear communicator, and confident leading a team in a fast-moving environment. A scaffolding ticket and full driver’s licence would be a bonus, but strong leadership and practical problem-solving skills are the key.
