Assistant Maintenance Manager – Planning and Scheduling
The Company
This is an opportunity to join an NZ company and a respected FMCG manufacturer with a strong reputation for producing high-quality, well-known products. With a positive culture built on teamwork, continuous improvement, and shared success, this is a place where people are supported, their ideas are valued, and they’re encouraged to contribute to ongoing plant and process enhancement.
The Role

The Assistant Maintenance Manager – Planning and Scheduling will combine a strong engineering background with ownership of the site’s maintenance planning and scheduling activities, supporting performance and continuous improvement across a high-speed manufacturing operation. The role works daytime hours Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance planning and scheduling for a high-speed, 24/7 manufacturing site.

- Manage and coordinate engineering contractors, ensuring technical standards, safety and value for money.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to balance reliability, safety and output.
- Analyse equipment performance and maintenance data to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
About You
As the ideal candidate, you will be someone who is self-driven and experienced in leading maintenance planning and scheduling. You will be comfortable working in a dynamic environment where you have variety in your job function, and will have proven ability to drive improvement.
In addition, the successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- 8+ years’ experience supported by a relevant engineering degree.
- Engineering background, experience planning maintenance for high-speed, continuous or 24/7 production machinery.

- Confident communicator with the credibility to influence engineering, production and leadership teams.
Benefits
join a highly successful company that invests in improvements.
