This is an Intermediate Automation Engineer role where you will surrounded by other Automation Engneers so this is a great place for career growth with likeminded and experienced colleagues.

There is a lot of local work and the company hire people with varying appetites to doing travel for commissioning trips and overtime. They are accommodating on these fronts so don’t let that stop you from applying and you could consider this as a viable, interesting, and potentially more diverse work alternative to working at a manufacturing plant, for a machinery building company, or a control systems product company.

This is a permanent fulltime role.

Hours: Outside of the commissioning phase the standard hours are 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday and the company are happy with flexi-start times to suit your lifestyle or to dodge traffic.
Overtime + Site Allowances: Overtime is paid after 40 hours at your base rate (i.e. salary/52 weeks/40 hours). This really can add up if you choose to do significant overtime. Site allowances are also paid when you are workign away from home on a client site.

Does this sound like you?

  • Likely you are tertiary qualified e.g. an Electrical Engineer, Mechatronics Engineer, Software Engineer (or similar) OR you have gained automation engineering experience on the job

Why Apply?

This Automation Engineer role will give you interesting industrial control systems projects to work on, alongside like-minded technical specialists, and in a company that wants to remain at the edge of what it is possible to automate and optimise.

You will get very good career exposure and variety in terms of the industry sectors and clients you will work across, the types of projects you will do, plus the wide range of control systems you can work on.

I have enjoyed working with the managers there over a few years now and find them to be an approachable, reasonable, and down to earth employer who will treat you fairly, seek to help you grow & develop, and give you work in areas that are of interest to you.

You will be paid a competitive salary, and with the addition of overtime after 40 hours, plus site allowances, you will truly be paid for what you do.
