Our client is a multi-disciplined engineering services provider working with many heavy industry sectors in New Zealand and Australia. They offer full life-cycle solutions including project delivery, design, fabrication, construction, and maintenance, serving sectors such as oil & gas, energy, pharmaceuticals, dairy, and infrastructure.  
 
The company has grown based on its reputation for providing excellent levels of service and expertise on major industrial projects, and internal promotion has led to the need for an Engineering Manager to join the team based in New Plymouth to lead the multi-disciplinary engineering team.
 
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team through planning project workloads, managing resource allocation, and strengthening systems and processes.
 
To be successful in this role
You will be a proven team leader with:

  • Tertiary engineering degree qualification (preferably Mechanical discipline)
  • Proven engineering management experience leading and developing an engineering team, planning workloads and allocating resources
  • Experience working in heavy industry engineering – design, fabrication, construction
