Maintenance Engineer | Night Shift

Once the sun goes down and the office staff have gone home, you will have the large manufacturing site to yourself to methodically work through a prescribed list of routine preventative maintenance tasks and small engineering projects.
The night shift runs 11:10 PM  to 7:10 AM Sunday to Friday morning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Working with the production team to identify and resolve equipment issues quickly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
  • Participating in equipment installation, commissioning, and modification projects, ensuring that equipment is installed and commissioned to meet safety and quality standards.
  • Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory records.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Trade Certified Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance engineering role in a manufacturing environment ideally in FMCG, Packaging or Large scale manufacturing
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations.

What’s on offer?
On offer is a competitive base hourly rate north of $40/h+ which is supplemented with a shift and trade allowances. Total annual remuneration $85-100k.
