Mechanical Project Engineer

A large Manufacturing business is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their Capital Projects team in Rotorua.

The company has large-scale projects underway and in the pipeline. Capital spending is approved and so essentially this is an awesome chance to work in a team where you get things done! Work with high tech equipment, build new plant sections and processes and get to enjoy your work in a great location.

The role:

  • Mechanical design and development of capital projects
  • Develop and complete preliminary designs
  • Manage through design approval phase
  • Manage project delivery – coordinating in-house trades and engineers for successful delivery
  • Deliver projects valuing $20K – $20M
  • Work in a strong team with 4 other Project Engineers from different disciplines
  • Reports to the Projects Engineering Manager

About You:

  • BEng Mechanical Engineer
  • Experienced delivering capital projects which can include:
    • Processing upgrades and complex machinery
    • Site services – Boilers, Kilns etc
    • New Builds and installations
  • Great Communicator and team player
  • Large industrial site experience preferred. Essential is complex manufacturing knowledge

In Return
This is a Monday – Friday role, 40 hours per week and it’s a chance for an in-house engineer to work on some meaningful projects, with large scale outcomes for their efforts. Salary on offer is between $120-140K.
