Project Manager

Our client is looking for a Project Manager to lead exciting automated machinery projects from sale through to manufacture, installation and commission.
 
About the role
Responsible for owning the post-sale customer relationship and commercial outcomes, you will lead the project technical requirements and project scheduling to ensure projects are delivered on time, to specification, and within budget.
 
In particular, you will:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of single machinery to fully automated line solution projects, ensuring alignment with customer expectations
  • Develop and oversee technical specifications, designs, layouts, and installation plans in collaboration with engineering teams
  • Act as the primary customer liaison, supporting project lifecycle activities including site visits, commissioning, and handover
  • Provide technical sales support, including solution development, pricing input, and customer presentations
  • Deliver post-installation support while driving continuous improvement, quality compliance, and innovation initiatives

 To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (preferred)
  • Proven project management experience managing complex equipment or machinery projects within a manufacturing environment
  • Design experience with 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor or similar)
  • Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with proven experience providing technical leadership
  • Commercial nous with strong customer focus
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple teams
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines
