Project Manager – Commercial Construction

The Company
A multidisciplinary consultancy with capabilities across all of construction, infrastructure and transportation. They have overseen a lot of growth in recent times and as a result are looking to grow both their Auckland team, as well as other locations in NZ. Clients exist across a variety of public and private sectors meaning that project size and scope varies from anything between $20-50M+, currently with several projects across refurbishments and greenfield developments they have grown within both the vertical and horizontal construction space.

We’re looking for a Project Manager to join the team and work on some exciting flagship commercial construction projects. This role will have excellent support from senior team members and is the perfect opportunity for a Project Manager looking to work on bigger projects, or for an experienced Junior PM who is looking to take the step up.
 
The Role 
You will take responsibility for a pipeline of work, with your key focus on the delivery of a major project, with responsibilities including:

  • Dealing with and representing clients
  • Managing other consultants
  • Programme management
  • Project financial management
  • Contract management
  • Design management
  • Procurement

We’re looking for: 

  • Experience as a Project Manager or Junior Project Manager in a construction consultancy
  • Ability to understand specifications, drawings and formulate work programmes
  • Capable of communicating with anyone, from the board to an on-site contractor
