Project Manager (Commercial Construction)

With a new project on the horizon I am recruiting for a Project Manager in Queenstown.

You will be joining an established business with an excellent reputation, good subs and supply chain, and proven success in delivering large scale commercial grade projects 

You will be a hands on Project Manager and be part of the preconstruction planning including comprehensive programme development, design reviews, value engineering and procurement. 

As construction starts you will lead your site team and manage communication with key stakeholders whilst driving the program and managing project risks and foster a culture of safety first. 

You will provide surety around a quality finish and work with your site manager and QS to closely monitor costs and identify opportunities for value engineering. 

Required Experience

  • Trade or construction /engineering qualifications
  • Proven success in project managing large $30m+ construction projects
  • Sound knowledge of the NZ building code and contracts (NZ3910)
  • Good planning and programming skills (MS Project)
  • Positive approach to team leadership 
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills
