This role suits a Quantity Surveyor (or a Senior QS) who enjoys see projects end to end from Estimating and securing work to procurement and Contract Administration, someone who enjoys looking for the missing items on drawings, who takes pride in relationships and has an ability to value engineer projects and manage risks.  

As part of a small and cohesive team your work will be broad ranging and hand’s on from partnering clients and consultants during ECI phases, you will then procure and let contracts, manage and report on construction costs through to preparing the final accounts. Projects will be diverse and interesting from $50m public building projects through to commercial fit outs and extensions, residential developments and industrial warehousing.   

With an eye to the future my client is ideally seeking someone who can be a succession plan for a more senior role, this growth will be supported by a highly regarded Commercial Manager who can mentor and develop your skills.

We are looking for an experience Quantity Surveyor who can demonstrated a stable employment history with the following experiences and knowledge:

– 5 to 10 years of New Zealand construction experience
– Good measuring and estimating concrete & carpentry trades
– Good knowledge of NZ building contracts 
– Professional with a high level of integrity
– Good commutation and relationship building skills
– QS Qualification, (NZIQS or MRICS highly regarded)
