Senior Inspection Engineer

Our client is a well-known and respected energy industry player, with offices around the globe. The New Zealand operation currently concentrates on E&P and as part of their planning for the future, they are keen to add a Senior Inspection Engineer to their New Plymouth based team.

The job.
We are looking for a tertiary qualified engineer with proven risk based inspection experience (pipelines, tanks, structures, static equipment) to plan and manage mechanical / inspection engineering activities.

Specifically, you will:

  • Plan and manage risk based mechanical / inspection engineering activities (pipelines, tanks, structures, and static equipment).
  • Assist with risk-based inspection reviews and oversight of the data management system
  • Identity and implement mitigation measures to optimise asset integrity
  • Develop new and adapt existing processes and products, as required

The person.
To join us in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary engineering qualification – Mechanical / Material and Corrosion
  • Have proven experience at a senior level in Risk Based Inspections (preferably at least pipeline inspections)
  • Be proficient with New Zealand regulations and standards, specifically API 571, API 580 / 581, API 653, ASNZ 3788, and ASNZ 2885
  • Have proven corrosion management experience

You will have excellent written and verbal English language skills, be a people person and a relationship builder and be able to communicate with people at all levels.
