Due to an internal movement, Whittaker’s are now looking for a Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical & Electrical to join their team to be involved in supporting the production through timely intervention in fault finding and repair work, machinery changeovers and installation work.

This is a Monday to Friday role 0700-1630 with the requirement to work one week of afternoon shift a month, which is 1600-0200, Monday to Friday.

Specifically, you will:

  • Undertake mechanical and electrical maintenance work
  • Problem identification, diagnosis, and rectification of production machinery
  • Assist with machinery changeovers
  • Assist with commissioning of new machinery
  • Liaise and work with contractors

The person.
To join us in this role, you will have:

  • A mechanical trade qualification with proven electrical skills (EST ideally), or an electrical trade qualification and EWRB registration, with proven mechanical skills
  • At least 5 years’ experience working on FMCG/packaging machinery maintenance
  • Experience working in the food industry
  • Proven skills in fault finding and diagnostics

We require someone who has attention to detail, is team focused and has sound communication skills, both written and verbal.
