We are delighted to be working with our global food ingredients client as they continue to invest in their state of the art New Zealand dairy facility located in the central North Island region. The company has built one of the country’s newest milk processing plants, with capability to make a range of high quality dairy products supplying the global B2B ingredients market.
Commutable from Rotorua, Taupo and the greater Hamilton region, you can base yourself locally or from a larger town/city and if you love the outdoors then the mountains and lakes are on your doorstep.
The Role:
With a brand new Milk Protein Concentrate plant coming online, this newly created role reports to the Site Manager and will lead and support the end-to-end processing operations on-site to ensure production targets, quality standards, safety, and environmental obligations are met.
A key technical role for the business’s value-added program, you will be a primary technical contact for Tier 1 customers. The role focuses on continuous improvement, asset performance, team capability, and delivery of key manufacturing KPIs in line with business strategy. This means your technical and process knowledge in MPC manufacture is critical to your role.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
With specific expertise needed, you will ideally have:
- Tertiary qualification in engineering, science, manufacturing or similar
- At least 10 years operational experience within dairy manufacturing
- Minimum of 5 years team leadership OR proven influencing skills
- At least 5 years Milk Protein Concentrate processing experience
- Hands on working knowledge with industrial scale separation/drying processes
- Project/process management experience
- Highly motivational, proven cross-functional team skills
MPC experience is a must, and you must have demonstrated knowledge of UF, diafiltration, evaporation and spray drying. This role could suit a highly experienced Process Manager seeking a new challenge or someone ready to step up and lead a team through an exciting phase of growth.
