Our client is a biotechnology company that produce materials/reagents for human pharmaceuticals and veterinary use. Their products are marketed globally, including Europe, USA and Japan. Their success and growth are a direct result of their commitment to product and service quality, customer satisfaction, and maintaining a cGMP compliant manufacturing facility in SOUTH CANTERBURY.
 
With continued growth has come the additional need for an experienced QA Officer to join their team.  Reporting to the QA Manager, this position will have broad QA and compliance responsibilities in supporting the manufacturing of our client’s products.  This includes but is not limited to, managing audits (internal and external), document control and review, and supporting production with any change control and non-conformance investigations.
 
The successful candidate will ideally possess the following attributes:

  • Tertiary science qualification in chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry, biotechnology or a related field.
  • 3+ years QA experience in a pharmaceutical or medical device operation
  • Experience working with Quality Management Systems within a GMP environment
  • Previous internal audit management and external hosting experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well with a range of people at all levels, including production staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; written English must be of a high standard with experience writing reports.
  • Initiative and the ability to self-organise and work independently.
