Site Manager

Prolam is a successful NZ-grown, family-owned business supporting engineers, architects and construction professionals to design and build with strength and confidence using premium engineered timber solutions. As Prolam has grown, so has the team, and as such we are looking for a Site Manager to manage the Waiwhero site in Motueka.

The Role
Overseeing a team of 35+ employees, including four direct reports, you will be responsible for managing onsite production, maintenance, and dispatch. Your role will ensure production targets are met while maintaining high product quality and standards. Additionally, you will foster team morale, build and develop a skilled workforce, and uphold the highest standards of health and safety.

This is an opportunity for a proven leader, with experience in a process manufacturing environment, to lead the team and be involved in driving continuous improvements.

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Experience at a management level within a factory environment
  • Previous experience working with process manufacturing (preferably with timber)
  • Proven experience working with engineered timber would be beneficial
  • The desire and ability as a proven team leader to roll your sleeves up and be visible on the ground.
  • A proven high health and safety track record

Personally, you will have excellent communication skills, be able to work with and motivate the team and enjoy creating and managing an enjoyable work environment.
