A successful commercial contractor is expanding its business delivering fast paced construction work to regional clients:

About the Role
You will take ownership of fast-paced commercial projects typically valued between $1m–$3m, including:

  • Concrete structures and building extensions
  • Office and industrial refurbishments
  • Seismic Upgrades, refooring and recladding

Projects are located across regional New Zealand so you must be happy to travel away Monday to Friday with travel, accommodation, and transport covered, plsu receive extra travel allowances ontop of your salary. Ideally you will be in close proximity to Auckland, Wellington, Hamilton or Christchurch airports. 

You’ll work autonomously on site, supported by an experienced, approachable management team who value trust, accountability, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site operations from start to finish
  • Lead and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers
  • Drive short-term programmes in live or operational environments
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and compliance
  • Prepare detailed site reports and manage RFIs
  • Identify and mitigate construction and design risks
  • Build strong working relationships with clients and consultants

About You

  • Experience as a Site Manager or Site Engineer
  • Trade / tertiary qualifications
  • Experience delivering structural commercial / industrial construction work
  • New Zealand experience is essential for this role
  • Strong understanding of construction systems and reporting
  • Confident working independently across multiple project types
  • Positive, solutions-focused leadership style
