About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Technical Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Operations team with both daily activities and long-term improvements. You’ll oversee the Validation (2 reports) and Stores (8 reports) teams, ensuring compliance with GMP standards while driving process, equipment and systems improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Validation team, managing validation plans, protocols, schedules, and compliance
- Oversee commissioning of new equipment (URS, FAT, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ) and provide technical support to Production & Quality
- Manage Stores operations including inventory control, stock movements, audits, SOPs, and order dispatch
- Support quality investigations, deviations, audits, and process improvements
- Supervise and develop departmental staff, ensuring training and GMP compliance
- Develop and manage annual budgets for Stores and Validation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production and technical functions
You, the Candidate
You’ll bring strong technical leadership and deep experience in the pharmaceuticals industry, with the confidence to manage diverse teams and responsibilities.
The successful candidate will also posess the following skills and attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Process preferred) or Physics
- At least 5 years’ experience in a technical or engineering management role within GMP-regulated industries
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching and team management experience
- Proven expertise in equipment commissioning, validation and compliance
- Strong background in quality assurance and production operations
- Highly analytical, practical, and decisive with excellent problem-solving skills
