We’re looking for a confident, experienced Senior Project Manager to step into a key leadership role within a well-established project advisory consultancy, supporting some of the most meaningful vertical infrastructure projects happening in the Wellington region.
This is an opportunity to work alongside a team of sharp, down-to-earth professionals who genuinely care about delivering quality outcomes and building strong, trusted relationships with clients. The business has a great reputation in the market and a strong forward workload across sectors like health, education, and public infrastructure.
The Role
You’ll be joining the buildings/vertical team in a role that blends project leadership, client engagement, team development, and strategic input. It’s a senior position, suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, supporting others, and delivering with professionalism and integrity.
You’ll lead projects through all phases of delivery—design, procurement, construction and close-out—while actively mentoring junior staff and contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading delivery of building projects (up to $40M and beyond), from design through to completion
- Managing client relationships and engaging confidently across stakeholders
- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to internal leadership
- Supporting proposals, bids and broader business development
- Overseeing commercial, risk and compliance responsibilities
What We’re Looking For
- 10–15 years’ industry experience
- Strong background in vertical/infrastructure builds (seismic experience a bonus)
- Consultancy/client-side experience preferred
- Proven leadership and team management capability
- Excellent communicator with solid Wellington market knowledge
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
