• Are you a Mechanical Engineer who has some experience in working with hydraulic systems design?
• Are you a proven hydraulics technician who has experience working with SolidWorks?
• Be involved in hydraulic systems design, pricing and quotations, and hydraulic system fault-finding and troubleshooting.

With over 40 years of successful and award-winning experience within the hydraulics industry, our client is involved in designing, manufacturing, and commissioning hydraulic solutions. Upcoming retirement, after many successful years in the role, has led to an opportunity for a highly talented Hydraulic Systems Design Engineer to join this family orientated team, based in Christchurch.

The Role
You will be involved in designing and quoting hydraulic systems (concepts, circuits, calculations, sizing components), drawing up designs (2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models), liaising with suppliers and customers and ensuring associated testing and documentation is produced to the required standards.

The requirements for this role are:

  • Experience in working with hydraulic systems design.
  • Proven experience working with design software (preferably SolidWorks and HyDraw)
  • Experience with hydraulic pricing and quotations
  • Proficiency in hydraulic system fault-finding and troubleshooting
