Quantity Surveyor – Consultancy
The Opportunity
We’re recruiting for a successful multidisciplinary consultancy who deliver a mixture of commercial construction projects across Aotearoa. With a busy pipeline of work, they are looking to grow their team and add a new QS to the team. The company has a great team, based out of their Christchurch Central City office, where people enjoy coming to work. This business also offers work from home flexibility.
The Job
This is an ideal opportunity to deliver complex building projects as part of a team. This business continually secures both major projects and smaller works, so you will have the opportunity to work on and eventually manage a portfolio of projects, or focus your efforts into key/major builds. Work includes client management, feasibilities, risk planning, procurement, value engineering, cost planning and reporting. A QS in the team is responsible for working both pre and post-construction, so this is a varied role.
The successful candidate has the opportunity to grow their skillset, working closely with an Associate – learn from the best and take real ownership of their portfolio.
Experience
Commercial PQS experience is highly preferred, but we’re open to hearing from anyone who has good experience with either a consultancy or main contractor. It is important that you have worked across both the front end/tendering stages of a project, as well as contract management/administration. This is an intermediate role and ideally you will be someone who is capable of working autonomously and high levels of self quality assurance.
