The Role:
We are currently looking for 2 NPD Technologists – 1 at a senior level and one at intermediate. Reporting to the Head of Innovation, these positions contribute as part of a tight-knit team of NPD Technologists, focussing on a number of new lines of product innovation within the nutritional dairy sector.  With the business manufacturing a range of wet and dry products, as the incumbent, you’ll be working with all associated technologies including wet and dry blending, spray-drying and different final product formulations and packaging.  Both of these NPD Technologist positions will have responsibility for end to end innovation, including liaising with operational functions to ensure trials and product introduction occur seamlessly.
 
Your Profile:
As a preferred candidate, you will bring several years of product development and formulation experience with infant formula or other nutritional dairy products, and the demonstrated ability to project manage a portfolio of pipeline products. In addition to your demonstrated technical knowledge, our client is looking for you to bring your creative thinking, relationship management and time management skills. Though not essential, your ability to read, write and speak fluent Mandarin will be beneficial.
 
The successful candidate will ideally possess the following attributes:

  • Tertiary qualification in Food Technology/Science or similar
  • 5+ years practical food product development and formulation with dairy and/or powdered products
  • Experience with spray dryer, wet and dry mix processing technology preferred
  • A proven ability to complete projects within tight deadlines
  • Process development and improvement experience
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Able to work as part of a team, leading when required
