Our client is one of New Zealand’s well-established laboratory and medical device suppliers. With a strong reputation for providing their customers with quality solutions, they have grown a significant market share within the research, clinical and industrial laboratory sectors.
 
About the role
With a longstanding member of the team retiring soon, this strategically important position will focus on production management and supplier liaison for our client’s clinical products division.  This key role will see you working cross-functionally and closely with the suppliers and also the sales and business development teams to ensure that the best possible outcomes occur for sales, on-time delivery or products and services, and that technical support is always available.
 
In this highly visible role, you will organise and present in open environments such as workshops, seminars etc., and may also be involved in some frontline sales and BD.  As such, you will need to bring your strong interpersonal, relationship management and communication skills with you.  This is also an autonomous role so you will have good time management and organisational skills. The role will be based in Auckland but there will be some travel around the country.
 
Skills/ experience
Preferred candidates will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Tertiary qualification in biological/microbiological/clinical science or similar
  • Significant experience in product management within the clinical and industrial sector
  • Market and product knowledge in the clinical sector is preferred
  • Highly organised, able to convey information though all media
  • Entrepreneurial and commercial acumen; strong negotiation skills
  • Proven interpersonal and professional relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated and autonomous
