Product Development Engineer

Our client is a global leader in innovative window and door opening solutions for access, safety and security. With New Zealand and overseas locations, their products are household names throughout New Zealand and internationally.

With growth and expansion comes the need for additional people and we are looking for a Product Development Engineer to join the Auckland based team.

You will be responsible for designing and developing innovative product solutions from concept to manufacture.

Specifically, you will:

  • Conceptualise and design new products
  • Undertake design calculations
  • Create parts, assembly and 3D CAD (SolidWorks) drawings
  • Build and test prototypes (including designing testing jigs)

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Be a Tertiary qualified engineer
  • Have at least a few years’ product development experience
  • Have proven experience working in the manufacturing environment
  • Be proficient with SolidWorks

Personally, you will have excellent communication skills, be a proven team player and be committed and motivated to completing work in an accurate and timely manner.
