With plenty of ongoing and exciting work, an upcoming retirement has led to the need to employ a highly talented Hydraulics Design Engineer to join this family orientated team, based in Christchurch.

The Role

You will be involved in designing and quoting hydraulic systems (concepts, circuits, calculations, sizing components), drawing up designs (2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models), liaising with suppliers and customers and ensuring associated testing and documentation is produced to the required standards.

The requirements for this role are:

  • Extensive experience in working with hydraulic systems design.
  • Proven experience working with design software (SolidWorks and HyDraw)
  • Proven experience with hydraulic pricing and quotations
  • Proficiency in hydraulic system fault-finding and troubleshooting
  • Be able to take an idea from the back of a beer coaster to the boardroom.
